Kettlebell Lateral Step Up
1. Stand with your feet slightly wider than hip-width apart, holding a kettlebell in each hand. 2. Place the kettlebells on the ground next to your right foot.
1. Step your right foot up onto a box or bench. 2. Push through your right heel and lift your left foot off the ground. 3. Step your left foot onto the box or bench. 4. Step your right foot back to the ground. 5. Step your left foot back to the ground. 6. Repeat the movement, alternating your starting foot.
1. Exhale as you step up onto the box or bench. 2. Inhale as you step back down.
1. Make sure to keep your core engaged and your back straight throughout the exercise. 2. Do not let your knees collapse inwards as you step up. 3. Do not rush through the reps. Keep your movements slow and controlled.
